VIA Dance Collaborative
Our office has moved! Our new address is 53 Maple Ave., Fredonia NY 14063
VIA Dance Collaborative was founded through Adrienne Westwood’s 2003 Kenan Fellowship at Lincoln Center Education. The group of dancers, choreographers, and designers successfully facilitate a forum in which choreography, performance, and design are fully explored and realized. Noted as "rich in elegant, total design and performance" by Eva YaaAsantewaa (Infinate Body Blog), the work for which we have received praise stems from attention to each member's individual aesthetic sense and a sincere reverence for a collective creative process.

The company incorporated in 2005 as VIA Collaborative be Arts Corporation, in order to support the development of its members works. Since 2006, this has included seven full New York City seasons, educational residencies, and dozens of shared performances.

Past projects have been made possible, in part, with financial support from The Fund for Creative Communities, supported by the New York State Council on the Arts, administered by the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council; The Manhattan Community Arts Fund, supported by the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, administered by the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council; The Mary Duke Biddle Foundation; major commissions of new works from Amy Elizabeth Russo and three anonymous donors; and Harkness Space Grants from the 92nd Street Y Harkness Dance Center. Of course, individual donors still form the core or our support. We are a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization recognized by the IRS and listed on GuideStar. Contributions are welcome at any time and maybe sent to VIA Collaborative Arts Corporation, (c/o Jefferson Westwood), 53 Maple Ave, Fredonia NY 14063. We are also pleased to accept online donations though our partnership with Network for Good.
